Enjoy a serious injection of sea air on the beautiful Algarve coast. Golden sands, limestone cliffs, hidden lagoons, quaint fishing villages and amazing fresh seafood - all in the blissful sunshine.

Arrive at Faro or Lisbon airport. Transfer by minibus or taxi to our base hotel in Lagos.
Lagos to Luz Beach: 8 miles (13km). Today’s route takes you through the old and narrow streets of Lagos, Portugal’s oldest town, towards the sea. Here you’ll join a beautiful coastal path that takes you to the cliffs and caves of Ponta da Piedade. From up here you can look down on the small town of Luz and its beautiful golden beach. Once you arrive in Luz you’ll enjoy 4-star finery at your hotel which has a swimming pool and gardens in close proximity to the ocean.
Luz to Salema: 8 miles (13km). Sticking near the sea, the route today takes you through several small fishing villages and some abandoned fortresses - reminiscent of a time when this coastline was ravaged by pirates. There is also a chance to visit some ruins of roman baths on the way. Once you arrive in Salema there’s a great beach for a spot of post-walk sunbathing, and plenty of wonderfully fresh fish to re-fuel on.
Salema. This is a great place to enjoy a rest-day, lazing on the beach or swimming in the pool. But if you feel like exploring, there are several interesting villages inland to potter around - just a short car transfer or hike from Salema.
Salema to Sagres: 11 miles (18km). Today’s route offers up some more challenging terrain - and, along the way, the most spectacular natural beauty. Expect undulating coastline trails along remarkably unspoilt cliffs, and deserted secret beaches with shimmering lagoons (perfect for a rejuvenating picnic). Those who would prefer a shorter route can transfer by car to Zavial and walk to Sagres from there instead (11km). Finally, you’ll arrive in Baleeira Bay, where there’s yet another fabulous beach to lounge about on, as well as five small islands. This is where you’ll stay for the last two nights of your holiday, in a 4-star hotel with swimming pool and ocean views.
Sagres to Cape São Vicente: 9 miles (14km). On your final walking day it’s time to hit the high cliffs of Sagres towards Cape São Vicente - the place where the land ends and the sea begins. Sagres is the southwesternmost point in continental Europe and the place from where our forefathers sailed on caravels seeking new continents five centuries ago - something to think about as you enjoy looking out across the ocean while munching on a picnic lunch. At the end of today’s route, you will be transferred by car back to Sagres for the night.
We say “Adeus” before transferring you direct from Sagres to Faro or Lisbon airport by minibus or taxi.
