Activity Holidays in Portugal

With 943km of coastline, it's no wonder why so many people flock to Portugal every year for a summer holiday. However, away from the tourist traps, there are fantastic walking and cycling opportunities, hidden coves, scenic routes through pine forests and over sand dunes and vibrant fishing villages.

In fact, there are many hidden parts to Portugal that remained unexplored. Lisbon and Porto have recently become the two new 'hot' cities to visit on travel editor's lists and each region varies so dramatically that it's the perfect place for an activity holiday.

From super surfing in the southwest corner to the lush green landscape to the north where vineyards are UNESCO protected. Wine production here dates back over 2000 years which means that there's lots of opportunity to stop and sample as you amble or cycle...
